Beverley Pavkovich
Position: Director Mental Health
Beverley (Bev) Pavkovich was appointed as Director of Mental Health in August 2025, bringing over 23 years of diverse experience across Australia, the UK and South Africa. In her role, Bev oversees headspace services in Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine, as well as mental health projects across Anglicare NT, drawing on her extensive expertise in clinical practice, team management and strategic planning.
Bev’s career includes key leadership roles such as Director of Regional Development at Anglicare NT, Program Manager for the Early Psychosis program at headspace Darwin and Social Work Manager at Alice Springs Hospital, Royal Darwin Hospital and Palmerston Regional Hospital. She has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, foster strong stakeholder relationships and enhance services for vulnerable populations.
Originally from South Africa, Bev spent close to ten years working in the United Kingdom before moving to Australia in 2013. She spent nine years in Alice Springs, where she contributed significantly to the community, before relocating to Darwin in 2022.
Bev holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (Honours), a Psychology Honours degree and a Post Qualifying Specialist Award in Social Work with a focus on children and families. Her leadership approach is grounded in trauma-informed, family-inclusive, and culturally responsive practices, ensuring services are both effective and inclusive.
In addition to her work with headspace, Bev is committed to advancing mental health initiatives across Anglicare NT by strengthening partnerships, addressing workforce challenges and delivering high-quality services.
