Year in Review and Launch of Annual Report

Partners, funders and friends of Anglicare NT joined staff at our ‘Year in Review’ on Thursday 21 November to celebrate achievements and reflect on our past year of work. CEO Dave Pugh greeted guests and Jeanneen McLennan from Larrakia Nation welcomed the group to Larrakia Country. Following a welcome prayer from Reverend Rob Haynes, Board Chair, Richard Giles, presented the Annual Report 2018-19.

The Annual Report showcases stories from the people we work with across the Northern Territory, our broad range of services and our advocacy efforts. It includes the launch of the Strategic Plan 2019-22, our reconciliation highlights and key partnerships. The annual financial statements are presented along with updates on our staff and volunteers.

At the meeting, our guest speaker Deborah Di Natale, CEO of Northern Territory Council of Social Services (NTCOSS), spoke of the links between the work of NTCOSS and Anglicare NT. Our Refugee and Migrant Settlement Service gave an overview of the people they support and presented the story of one person who they helped reunite with family members after more than 20 years of separation.

The Anglicare NT choir performed a rendition of My Island Home, with several verses sung in Yolngu Matha, translated by staff from East Arnhem. Lukunhirranmirri, a music video written, sung and recorded by young people in East Arnhem was also screened.

Thank you to all our guests who attended and the many individuals, organisations and other stakeholders who have supported Anglicare NT over the past year.
