Julia Wormer

Position: Operations Manager, headspace Katherine and headspace Palmerston

Julia oversees the daily operations of headspace Palmerston and headspace Katherine including the community engagement programs in Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine that support young people and their families experiencing mental heath difficulties. Julia is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has worked with Anglicare NT in various roles since 2011. She joined headspace Darwin as the Centre Manager in 2016.

Julia has extensive experience working with children, young people and families in urban and remote settings in both the NGO and government sectors. She has held a variety of management positions overseeing programs delivering mental health, child protection and early intervention services. Julia is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young people in the Top End of the Northern Territory and believes in the vital role young people play in the design and delivery of youth mental health services. Julia is a strong advocate for ensuring young people’s voices are heard.
