Clarissa Comerford

Clarissa has been a registered nurse for 37 years and has worked for many of those in the primary health sector. Since completing a Masters in Clinical Nursing in 2006 Clarissa has lectured student nurses in New Zealand and Australia – currently she lectures in nursing at Charles Darwin University’s Alice Springs campus. She has lived in Alice Springs for seven years and spent four of those managing clinics, programs and an aged care facility on the Ngaanyatjarra Lands located in the western desert of WA. Clarissa has a strong interest in the health and welfare of Aboriginal people; particularly in the concept of cultural safety across service delivery.
