Money Support Hub
The East Arnhem Money Support Hub provides free and confidential financial assistance to people in Nhulunbuy and surrounding communities.
Our staff provide free, culturally informed financial counselling, advocacy, financial literacy and education to individuals, families and groups. We work closely with community leaders and partner organisations.
Services are offered on location, through scheduled visits, telephone support and videoconferencing to Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala, Gunyangara, Birrtjimi, Galiwin’ku, Milingimbi, Ramingining, Gapuwiyak, Alyangula, Angurugu, Umbakumba, Milyakburra, Numbulwar and key homelands.
We help people develop budgets, learn to stretch money between paydays and save. We raise awareness about consumer traps and advocate for improved services from financial institutions for remote Aboriginal communities and townships.
