About the Position

As the Senior Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Officer, you will work across all areas of Anglicare NT, overseeing the health, safety and wellbeing actions of all personnel and contractors across the organisation. You will be suitably qualified to provide advice, support and coaching to staff and management on WHS best practice, risk management, rehabilitation and case management of injured/ill workers.

You will contribute to the development and review WHS policies, processes and procedures and initiatives within the organisation that support healthy and safe workplace and provide quality reporting on various WHS activities.You will hold a graduate or post graduate in workplace health and safety or other related discipline. You will have demonstrated experience in developing a health and safety management system in a complex multi-faceted organization.

You must possess knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying workplace health and safety and risk management legislation and in workers compensation management and rehabilitation and return to work processes for ill/injured workers.
You will need to hold high level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
