Launch of Annual Report 2017-18

On Friday 7 December, Anglicare NT hosted the Annual Public Meeting where we launched the Annual Report 2017-18. Reflecting on the past year, our Chair of the Board, Mr Richard Giles and CEO, Mr Dave Pugh shared how Anglicare NT continues to strengthen in impact, promoting social justice and responding to the diverse needs of Territorians.

We were pleased to be joined at the meeting by Ms Sally Sievers, the NT Anti-Discrimination Commissioner. Ms Sievers spoke on the role of the Commission in promoting equal opportunity, the rights of people with disabilities and the notion that everyone can guide their own decisions when the right supports are in place. We also had Ms Donna Jackson from Larrakia Nation welcome us to Country, Bishop Greg Anderson lead us in prayer and Mr Gavin Coehn and Ms Mardi Tshirpig from our Youth Support and Development Team share insights into the work of the Intensive Youth Support Service – an innovative service focused on engaging highly vulnerable young people and addressing their unmet needs.

This Annual Report showcases our broad range of services, the regions in which we work, the people we work with, our advocacy efforts and the staff and volunteers who work hard to support people across the Northern Territory. It captures stories from the people we work with that reflect quality and commitment. It also highlights how we have continued to strengthen our financial position, enabling us to reach out further to the community.

We hope you enjoy reading our highlights from the year and looking at photos of the many people we are privileged to work with. You can access the report here or phone us on 8985 0000 if you would like to be sent a printed copy.
