Launch of Annual Report 2016-17

The Annual Report 2016-17 was launched on Friday 1 December at the Anglicare NT Annual Public Meeting.  We were grateful to Her Honour the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran AM, Administrator of the Northern Territory for accepting our invitation to speak at the event and launch the Annual Report. Her Honour spoke in support of the community services sector, inspiring all who attended. Bishop Greg Anderson offered a heartfelt prayer for Anglicare NT and Clare Bizley spoke about the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY).

Anglicare NT has accomplished a number of key achievements during the 2016-17 period. We completed NDIS registration and services are now listed on the NDIS Portal. Quality accreditation was a priority in the areas of the National Aged Care Standards, QIP mid-cycle Health and Community Services and the National Standards for Mental Health. headspace Darwin implemented two new services – the Yarn Safe Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Traineeship Program and a vocational specialist support service.

Please enjoy reading about our wide range of programs and activities from the past year in the Annual Report 2016-17.
