The Department of Justice funds Anglicare-NT Resolve Counselling Education and Mediation cluster to provide a free Victims of Crime Counselling Support Service to individuals throughout the Northern Territory who have experienced a violent crime, and/or secondary victims who have been impacted by crime. Counsellors in this area use restorative counselling practice and their skills and experience in grief, loss and trauma counselling to support clients to resolve issues they face as a result of a crime, including practical support to prepare for and engage in the court processes.

Office hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
Face-to-face counselling available in the 3rd week of each month, or by appointment.
Office hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings
Out of hours appointments can be negotiated at each centre where appropriate staff are available.
Telephone counselling and e-counselling can be arranged where appropriate.
In some programs there is a cost for the workbooks.
- Target group is primary or secondary victims of crime
- Processes used include individual and occasionally group programs tailored to the specific support needs of the client. The counsellors can support referrals to mental health professionals where appropriate.
- Practical assistance in completing court documentation
- Professional therapeutic and restorative counselling
- This service is free.
