The Anglicare NT Resolve Counselling, Education and Mediation cluster’s Fanily and Relationships Education Programs (FREST) provides support to parents and to couples in their relationhips.
Anglicare NT Resolve Counselling, Education and Mediation cluster supports families with parenting strategies that help the parents keep their cool and provide children with developmentally appropriate support and boundaries to help them reach their potential. We have parenting practioners trained in 123 Magic and the Triple P Positivie Parenting Program. We run parenting groups in Darwin and in Nhulunbuy, and can provide individual support where appropriate.
We have practioners with skills and experience in working with couple relationships both to strengthen existing partnerships, and to support individuals, couples and families through relationship changes.
Out of hours appointments can be negotiated at each centre where appropriate staff are available.
Telephone counselling and e-counselling can be arranged where appropriate.
Nhulunbuy

- Target group is parents who seek to upgrade their parenting skills and/or couples who seek to enrich their relationships
- Processes used include 123 Magic, Triple P and Prepare, as well as programmes designed for particular audiences
- There are group and individual modes of service available – usually groups are offered at least once a school term
- Fee schedule across the Resolve cluster of services is based on a flat rate of $30 an hour for individual sessions or $40 an hour person for groups, although lower or no fees can be negotiated where appropriate.
