Garma Youth Forum 2008

50 young people dance together at the bunggul ground at the Garma festival to say thank you to elders for allowing the youth forum to be conducted at Gulkula, NT and to honour the 'walking together' of Yolngu and Ngapiki young people.

Parenting Orders Programme

POP is designed for separated parents who have difficulties implementing their court orders. There may be situations where parents are court ordered after breaches of their orders or parents who seek to vary their orders, but experience communication barriers and conflict. POP is also open to any separated parent wishing to create a business-like parenting relationship.

  • Target group is separated parents and their children, either court ordered or referred by other agencies/practitioners
  • Processes include group and individual modes of service – parents from the same family are not placed in the same group
  • Processes can include therapeutic family dispute resolution
  • Children can be access age-appropriate services, either in groups or as individuals.
  • Fee schedule is based on a flat rate of $30 an hour, although lower or no fees can be negotiated where appropriate
