Community Partner - Milyakburra Play and Learn Group

In partnership with Anglicare NT and the Communities for Children Project, the Bickerton Island community of Milyakburra are facilitating the Milyakburra Play and Learn Group.

The Play and Learn Group will focus on parental awareness and skills.
The Play and Learn Group have created a special place for young children and Mums where they can learn and have fun. Visiting Early Childhood professional such as nutritionists, paediatric specialists and nurses will be invited to conduct information sessions and workshops for mothers/families/carers with young children (0 – 5 year olds).

An area has been created to allow mothers/carers to develop skills in cooking nutritional meals for their families, including traditional foods.
