The Katherine Community Accommodation and Support Program (KCAASP) is a short to medium-term housing program for families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, providing support through times of crisis.
The program objective is to assist and support families and the community to achieve independence and develop capacity to improve their own well-being.
The program is delivered in accordance with the NT SAAP Service Standards.
The program manages nine properties, being a mix of two bedroom units and three bedroom houses, within the township of Katherine.
In addition to providing housing and case-management services to clients, KCAASP also provides support services including advocacy, budgeting, referral for counselling and information on other services for families in the Katherine Region.
Outreach is offered to families leaving KCAASP to assist in an effective transition into independent housing,
