At Garma 2008 Anglicare NT, in conjunction with the Yothu Yindi Foundation, East Arnhem Youth Committee and the Youth Interagency Network will present Yuta Yolngu—the Garma Miwatj Youth Forum, an exciting program of cultural and personal development for young people.

If you are between 12—18 years old, and live in the East Arnhem region, get yourself along to the Garma Miwatj Youth Forum Saturday 9th—Monday 11th August 2008

DSFAnglicare NT’s Communities For Children Initiative funded under the Australian Government’s Stronger Families and Communities Strategy will be hosting the “We Grow Them Up” Learning Festival on the 28th & 29th of May next year in Darwin.

The Committee for Children, made up of community representatives from communities across East Arnhemland, designed the Festival to learn how Indigenous and Non Indigenous people can work together in partnership to develop the best services for children in remote communities. Festival participants wished to share what they know works in helping young children grow up to be strong and healthy and to learn new ways to support young parents and families as they grow up their babies and little children.
