The foundation of recruitment is the Position Description, as it is from these documents that the job advertisement is written, Award classification and remuneration determined and criteria for selection decided.

Positions are advertised in the local newspaper generally in Saturday’s NT News and on the Anglicare NT website. External advertising may also be done via an alternative internet job site such as www.seek.com All NT News positions also appear on www.careerone.com.au

  • The Human Resources Manager will assist the manager to shortlist the resumes and arrange appointments for interviews at times convenient. 
  • Through the application of Position Description criteria, Human Resources along with the relevant Manager will screen all applicants to shortlist stage.
  • Using the results from a combination of police clearance, reference check, skills testing, occupational assessment, psychological assessment and structured behavioural interview techniques a manager is then in a position to choose a final candidate from the short list.
